Microplastics

 

For our inquiry we are looking at water and everything that effects it.

We were asked to do a video or poster on microplastics so we did a poster.

What do you think you would rate it? I think I would give it a 9 I think we could have made it a bit more pretty but otherwise I love it.

Essay

 

This is a short essay that i had to write from the book my literacy class and I had to do. I think I did good on this but could have added a bit more info. the book is called private peaceful .

For these past 2 of weeks my litracy group has been reading private peaceful a book by michael morpurgo....pdf for the book.

On friday myfriend and i were tasked to make a animation and screen record a writting task we did. 

Matariki Art

These past couple weeks my class and I have been making Matariki art with stars . 

How we made it....

First we started to draw out on paper what we wanted it to look like.Secondly we got a piece of foam and with a pen/pencil we drew out the same drawing we did on paper.Thirdly with some ink we printed the foam. Then we let them dry.lastly we made a paper frame .

Thats mine

To make the frame you need a A3 piece of card and your print. First you get the A3 paper card then you trace it on the inside like I did. Then you get a craft knife and slice around the trace then you take the small piece of paper out and get your print piece of paper and put it behind your frame then glue it to the frame and cut the left over pieces of the paper from your print .

What is Matariki ? Matariki is a Maori name for the group of stars. Matariki is celebrated on Friday 2nd of July this year ( 2021 ) . Matariki is a cluster of stars there is  of them but some people see 7 but in my picture their is 9.

I think I did good on it but the I dont think I put enough ink on it .

The 5 Senses

Today my class looked at the 5 senses my Friend and Me were in a pair with each other and had to use a caliper. We would take turns she would poke me with it and i was blind folded I would say how many points I felt. It was out of 2 then I did it to my friend.

The Egg Experiment - Science

 This is our egg project. we had to create something that could hold an egg from cracking. I thought it would not crack, but it wasn't as easy as we thought. first we wrapped the egg carefully in 3 pieces of A4 paper, then we used a small A5 piece of paper, then wrapped it all over with one strip of tape. then we wrapped it in a plastic bag and put the all of the leftover tape onto it. Then we tied the string around it and we were done. Then it was time to try it out. our teacher went up to the stairs and dropped our egg. unfortunately, it broke but we were still proud of what we did.

How to write a good paragraph

 How to write a good paragraph using these 3 steps .....

So the start of the sentence would have to have a topic sentence a topic sentence is something that infers what you are going to be talking about what ever your talking about, like... dogs are kind caring and friendly cats are mean and bite you , that infers that dogs are better than cats. Next is expand and explain but it also stands for other words like expand or explain for this all you need to do is expand or explain a bit more about your topic and back up your topic like... dogs can protect you and help you but cats sit and sleep , so expand more and back up your topic. Next is example for this you need to do an example so like... dogs are like personal trainer and cats are like professional sleeper , so make an example of your topic.
